Hi Eveyone, I’m researching whether what I’m trying to do is feasible or not. I’m trying to trigger a webhook on freshservice workflows The idea is to trigger a prepatch email when a patching ticket is placed and another one after the ticket has been completed. Question is. Is there a way to trigger a prepatch report and send it through mail by using the automox API ? so far I couldn’t find a way to do it. Thanks for any helpDiego
Hello everyone, One of the most consistent pieces of feedback I get from users is that they don’t know when it is safe to press the Install Now button on the patching notification. The primary reason is due to silent installs, they have no idea when it is safe to “get back to work.”The Automox UI clearly has this status in the device details screen, as it displays installing, and once the installation is complete, the device returns to ready status. I searched the API, but I can’t find any method of accessing this status such that I can display a complete message to users.
Hey all, are you looking at working on a non-dark mode version? Sometimes working in Automox feels I’m looking into a mirror since my screen reflects everything!
Hello, I had installed the Automox Agent on some of our Windows Server vms but it shoes Not Compatiable. Any thoughts on this?
Automox recommendations/feedback: 1 - Add “EST” or other time zones to options 2 - Device’s “next patch window” says “Unscheduled”, even though the “Associated Policies” window shows the correct next patch window (confusing - maybe change the wording) 3 - Add the ability in a policy to auto-reboot a system (wither it is pending a reboot or not) prior to applying patches in the patch window. Also, having this option to reboot again after applying patches would be a bonus. 4 - Rename the “Update Device” button to “Update Device Info” so it’s clear that that button won’t patch the device. 5 - Add a button to “Patch device now” which takes into account the policy for patch types, but ignores the schedule if you click a button to patch it immediately - make sure there is an “Are you sure” pop-up just in case. 6 - Allow multiple selections in the “Pre-patch Report” rather than just one group (so if I have multiple groups that start the next day at different times, I can see everything that

As a cloud-native solution, Automox gives you continuous insight and control across all your Windows, Mac, and Linux devices. As the demand to effectively patch Linux is becoming more pressing (as cloud servers and Linux instances become the norm), the Automox team has been hard at work to advance our Linux severity score coverage, leading with Ubuntu for our first roll-out, and others soon to follow! More CVE coverage means Automox can now prioritize Linux patching by severity to fix the most important vulnerabilities fast.
The right reporting at the right time not only confirms your actions were successful, but goes a long way in demonstrating IT’s value to other parts of the organization.Automox Policy Results answers the question, “Was my patch successfully deployed?” with immediate confirmation of successful patches as well as insight into additional steps that may be needed for patches that did not complete. With the ability to quickly identify the status of your most recent patches, our new Policy Results reporting capability details the specifics on why a patch may have hit a snag in the process so you can quickly address it. You’re also able to share real-time data and statistics to executive management to further demonstrate the value of your IT team’s efforts.

It seems that about 3 weeks ago my slack integration stopped working. I do not see an automox app in the slack directory. Whats going on and how can I get this working again?
I’m getting complaints from users about their systems rebooting multiple times a day on both Windows and macOS. Is there a way to see if users are getting the the automox notifications?

Hi Guys, i would like to know how often the Automox agent connect to the cloud? i have a tenant with 383 machines installed, 65 right now are in disconnected state, from weeks to more than 6 months. Probably some of them were rebuilded but not all of them, so why could they appear as disconnected? i see some of those “disconnected” machines online in other systems that we have. Also i see some machines with the agent installed, disconnected, and the “Automox Agent” service disappeared, I had to uninstall the agent from one “disconnected” machine today, re-install resolve the issue, the service re-appear and machine is online again in the Automox console. So, second question why a Machine with agent installed, that appear “Disconnected in the cloud console, lost the Automox Agent” service? is that normal, that happend to anybody before? Thanks for any help. just trying to figure out why online machines are “disconnected” and Automox Agent service disappeared.
Hi! Not sure if this is a “you’re doing it wrong” or a “this is how it works” or an actual problem, so hopefully you can help me out. We have our policy set to install updates in the background at 3pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday - we figure this gives time for them to install and update and finish up close enough to 5pm that restarting (or leaving the PC running overnight) isn’t a huge imposition on our users. One thing I have noticed, and had a user notice today, is that if you postpone Automox’s restart request, but shut down\restart yourself later (e.g. the other week I used Windows’ Update and Shut Down option it gave me on the Start menu and did this), Automox will prompt for a restart once Windows is loaded again which seems redundant given that we’ve just restarted. Is this intended behaviour, or is Automox only keeping track of restarts when it does them? I know Windows cheats with restarts if you use the Shut Down command and does a weird hybrid shut down\hibernate thing

I’ve got a fairly basic patching policy in place to apply critical, high and medium priority Windows 10 updates. Everything seems to be running smoothly and the devices are showing as fully compliant in the Automox dashboard but the updates are merely downloading and not installing.I have scheduled reboots running against the devices in question but this has resulted in a reboot without the updates installing. Is there some element of the patching policy I need to set up or enable, or is actually installing updates not part of the patching policies within Automox?
