This Mac device requires Secure Token User Permission

I added a new macOS device that has an M1 pro chip.  On my Automox admin dashboard I see this message for this device under the compatibility checklist - This Mac device requires Secure Token User Permission.   I am using the latest Automox agent 1.0-35.pkg.  Is there another step I am missing to install the agent correctly?Thanks.

Worklet for Teamviewer Host?

Hi all, I’m currently trying to create a Worklet for TeamViewer Host to silently install on new builds. I have created an .msi file to attach to the Worklet but currently I don’t know how to bypass the installation so that it actually installs. Ideally, we would be able to silently install and grant easy access to our admin account (which is already associated within the msi install) I was wondering if anyone else has tried creating this Worklet or has any insight.

Rocky Linux Support

With the move of CentOS8 to stream Rocky Linux has come out to replace it as the go to RHEL Clone.  When can we expect to see Rocky Linux as a supported OS?  Currently it detects Rocky Linux as SUSE which is weird as I would think it should detect it as CentOS or RHEL.

Error from performRequest

I’m testing the installation of an agent on a linux system (redhat 7), the system is behind a proxy...so proxy variables are in place per documentation. After I start the service, I see its connected to our proxy but it fails to perform the request (see below). Automox and Drivers

Hey all, Just wanted to check to see if Automox has the ability to patch drivers on Windows devices? I.e. how WSUS has this ability? Would like to retire WSUS completely for end user devices, and would be beneficial to tap into the MS Windows driver update channel.

Automox Wishlist - several feature requests and minor change improvements

Automox recommendations/feedback: 1 - Add “EST” or other time zones to options 2 - Device’s “next patch window” says “Unscheduled”, even though the “Associated Policies” window shows the correct next patch window (confusing - maybe change the wording) 3 - Add the ability in a policy to auto-reboot a system (wither it is pending a reboot or not) prior to applying patches in the patch window. Also, having this option to reboot again after applying patches would be a bonus. 4 - Rename the “Update Device” button to “Update Device Info” so it’s clear that that button won’t patch the device. 5 - Add a button to “Patch device now” which takes into account the policy for patch types, but ignores the schedule if you click a button to patch it immediately - make sure there is an “Are you sure” pop-up just in case. 6 - Allow multiple selections in the “Pre-patch Report” rather than just one group (so if I have multiple groups that start the next day at different times, I can see everything that

Automox Prompts for Reboot after User Reboots Manually

Hi! Not sure if this is a “you’re doing it wrong” or a “this is how it works” or an actual problem, so hopefully you can help me out. We have our policy set to install updates in the background at 3pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday - we figure this gives time for them to install and update and finish up close enough to 5pm that restarting (or leaving the PC running overnight) isn’t a huge imposition on our users. One thing I have noticed, and had a user notice today, is that if you postpone Automox’s restart request, but shut down\restart yourself later (e.g. the other week I used Windows’ Update and Shut Down option it gave me on the Start menu and did this), Automox will prompt for a restart once Windows is loaded again which seems redundant given that we’ve just restarted. Is this intended behaviour, or is Automox only keeping track of restarts when it does them? I know Windows cheats with restarts if you use the Shut Down command and does a weird hybrid shut down\hibernate thing

Global Zone Management rollout?

Hey Automox people, I got an email on 11/12 talking about RBAC rollout, with zones and finer grain controls over user access. Any idea when this functionality is actually being deployed? This was one of our bigger asks from AX and we’re excited to use it!

Linux Agent firewall requirements...

Hello,So the requirements on what to allow outbound through our firewall for Windows agents (for WindowsUpdate) are very clear.  But what do we need to allow for Linux agents?  Or does all of that come via Automox’s cloud CDN?Cheers,Mark.

Using Automox policy to upgrade to Windows 11

I’ve found some informative threads on blocking the Windows 11 upgrade with Automox policy but I have devices I’d like to push Windows 11 to and I’ve been unable to use a policy or worklet for this.  I have not found a patch or required software method to push out the Win 11 upgrade and have had no success running the upgrade via a worklet. Is there any type of best practice for the Windows 11 upgrade?  It would greatly benefit our efficiency if I can use Automox for this.

Just curious, anyone else using ConnectWise Control and have you had any issues?

With Covid we have more and more remote users and I’ve been having to rely on more and more remote tools and automation. Just curious if anyone has used ConnectWise and had any problems and/or did you use Automox to roll it out?

Best way to set Monthly Windows Updates by Severity

Hello, we are looking at moving away from SCCM and use Automox for our updates. What is best practice to configure a policy that will update severe and high updates once every 30 days? I have Install Optional and Recommended Windows Updates enabled, package targeting is Critical and High Device Targeting with Attribute = OS, Condition = In and Value = Windows. I do not have a schedule assigned as I need to test this manually first.  User Notifications are set as:Install Notifications are disabledReboot Notifications are enabled Enable deferrals, enable automatic deferrals enabled, with hourly deferrals set as 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours. Max deferrals is set as 3.

Operating System Native Reboot Integration

Hi Guys,I have previously mentioned this to support although I am not too sure if there is a procedure for requesting additional features for the Automox agent? thus thought it would be useful to post in the community to try and reach out the toe correct team\department.It would be really useful if the Automox agent was able to integrate with windows from a native OS reboot perspective. One thing I am seeing allot  is that users are postponing the reboot notifications generated by Automox and then restarting there device outside of Automox. Although patches are still being applied the Automox dashboard does not appear to be aware of this reboot and the agent continues to report  back to the dashboard that a reboot is required.If the reboot is initiated from the Automox reboot notification the dashboard updates as expected when the r the host reboots although it would be useful if there was some integration to reboots that are initiated outside of the Automox.
