Worklet: Install Netskope on AWS Workspaces

Hello,I am running into an issue where I can install Netskope to laptops via Automox using the following: Start-Process msiexec "/I NSClient.msi token=123456ABCDEF host=addon-company.goskope.com mode=peruserconfig autoupdate=on /qn" But when I try to push to AWS Workspaces - It will not install via Automox. Any ideas?

We are trying to push an HP OfficeJetPro 8020 series to all AAD workstations. We followed the worklet but NO GO. HP has 2 drivers, 1) Easy & 2) Full. We tried both but still NO GO.The policy we created was executed but no action. What’s the magic to achieve that? TIA

Automox Security Token

Hey there guys, I have an issue with the Automox agent.We have a few specific M1 endpoints that are not compatible with Automox because they require granting Automox a security token. All of them used the user prompt method (which works for most of the company) but the issue still exists.I also tried the command line method but again, it’s not working.I already sent a mail to the support team and I’m waiting for a reply, but I thought it’ll be a good idea to get help from multiple resources ;) Does someone have any suggestion how to handle this issue & grant Automox a security token in this scenario? Thanks in advance :D

User reboots with Automatic reboot disabled

Hi, we currently have a policy which only patches and does not reboot devices automatically. Since user initiated reboots “do not count” by Automox - What is the best way to prompt a reboot notification to the users, without forcing a reboot of course?

Run policies after rebuild

We have several policies that are based on a weekly staggered layout by location and 4am deployment (and next check in).  However, when we re-image a workstation and Automox gets automatically installed, we would have to wait until the next morning or next update cycle to get software and patches.  I dont know if we can do anything like this now, but It would be nice when a new device checks in, is in the default group, or have a command switch to run, that it would automatically force run any associated policies before we deploy back to staff.

How do we fetch the list of software installed on all the user’s devices? Suppose, there are 100 machines and we want to get the list of software installed on these machines? Is there any shorter way in AUTOMOX? Note: I have used those scripts provided in Community but they did not help.

General inventory

I am new to Automox, but work in a global company. I am trying to get general inventory report extracted from a particular device group ? E.g Europe. But i also want , PC Name, las logged in user, serial number, model type,etc… how can i do this ? i am not able to generate a report? if i list all the devices, and export… Serial numbers are not in it ?? Thanks for your help.Shaz

Having issues connecting PowerBI to Automox API

I am trying to get powerBi to pull data from:https://api.wifisensorcloud.com/I have been going over all the api documentation and reviewing powerbi support forums and I cannot get powerbi to pull the JSONThe supplier have given me the API Key, but I get the following error: “A web API key can only be specified when a web API key name is provided”BELOW ARE THE INFORMATION FROM SUPPLIERConnecting to the API The 5 services are hosted at:https://api.wifisensorcloud.com/Users.svchttps://api.wifisensorcloud.com/Locations.svchttps://api.wifisensorcloud.com/Devices.svchttps://api.wifisensorcloud.com/Sessions.svchttps://api.wifisensorcloud.com/Lookups.svcConnections using any protocol other than https (such as http) will be rejected. Requests for data should use the GET method with parameters supplied in a query string whereas data submissions/updates should use the POST method with parameters supplied in a JSON object. How often Automox Agent connect to the Cloud - Random agent disconnected

Hi Guys, i would like to know how often the Automox agent connect to the cloud? i have a tenant with 383 machines installed,  65 right now are in disconnected state, from weeks to more than 6 months. Probably some of them were rebuilded but not all of them, so why could they appear as disconnected? i see some of those “disconnected” machines online in other systems that we have. Also i see some machines with the agent installed,  disconnected, and the “Automox Agent” service disappeared, I had to uninstall the agent from one “disconnected” machine today, re-install resolve the issue, the service re-appear and machine is online again in the Automox console.  So, second question why a Machine with agent installed, that appear “Disconnected in the cloud console, lost the Automox Agent” service?  is that normal, that happend to anybody before? Thanks for any help.  just trying to figure out why online machines are “disconnected” and Automox Agent service disappeared.

Install BeyondTrust Jump Client

Hi,I'm trying to get a Worklet working to install an application to a group group of host. The application is BeyondTrust Jump Client.  The "trick" here is that their application is designed to allow multiple installations on the client. Each install creates a unique installation be adding unique hex identified at the end, and it installs into the ProgramData folder.So, I came up with the idea of when Automox does the first install, to first create a folder and copy a file into it. Then, I can have the Evaluation Code check for the folder. Everything works the first time, but then next time it will install again. I've tried reversing the Exit code in the evaluation, but either way, it install again. Evaluation code for testing if pending reboot for Linux?

I’d like a worklet/policy that checks against several flavors of Linux to see if the system requires a reboot (it may be Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS, etc) and then runs the remediation code if it does require the reboot.  I understand it’s different for each flavor of Linux, but Automox appears to use such code in determining whether a Linux system requires are reboot in the Automox UI.What should be the evaluation code to use for this worklet?

Use API to Determine if a Certain Software is Installed on All Devices

This was originally written for a customer that wanted to see if every system in their environment had Sophos Antivirus installed or not - and what version if they did. $apiKey = 'YOUR_API_KEY' - in your console, go to Settings->API and select the API key. Note that the API key is per admin user, so you and another admin in your console will have different API keys. $orgID = 'YOUR_ORG_ID' - put in your Org ID which can be found by looking at the URL on the dashboard and selecting the value after the “?o=”: [https://console.automox.com/dashboard?o=1234]. In this example the Org ID is 1234. $appInstalled = 'APPLICATION' - put the name of the application as it is listed in the software section of a device’s page that has it installed. $filepath - The save location and file name for the .csv file generated. Here’s a sample output checking for Microsoft Edge Chromium: $apiKey = 'YOUR_API_KEY' $orgID = 'YOUR_ORG_ID' $appInstalled = 'Microsoft Edge' $filepath = 'C:\Temp\AppInstalled.

What determines if the Remediation Code is executed?

I have a Worklet that installs an application with the evaluation code below. When I run this in powershell on my computer, it returns a 0 because I do have the folder. But yet, the Remediation code runs and installs the application again. SO, my question is - If the Evaluation returns a 0, does that prevent the Remediation code from running at all (which is what I thought) or, do I need to check for 0 somehow in the Remediation code and Exit if 0? If (Resolve-Path -Path "C:\BeyondTrust\*")    {        return 0    }     else     {         return 1     }

Deploy CrowdStrike on Windows

This is to deploy the CrowdStrike Windows agent in your environment. You’ll need the CrowdStrike installer, WindowsSensor.exe, which you can download from your CrowdStrike console. You’ll also need your Customer ID from the console. Remediation code: .\WindowsSensor.exe /install /quiet /norestart CID=<checksummed customer ID> Upload the WindowsSensor.exe file to the worklet, and put your CID in the CID flag section. If you have any issues getting the installer to work, you can add the flag ProvNoWait=1 which skips the requirement for the agent to make contact with the CrowdStrike console within 10 minutes, after which time the agent removes itself if it fails to make contact. Microsoft Patch Supercedence - How To?

Hi All,I was wondering if anyone has found a way to manage supersedence of Microsoft patches in a scalable manner?To illustrate:Let’s say you have a monthly patch policy on 2nd Thursday of the month. Most of the time it would be after Patch Tuesday, however for whatever reason you are do no install current month’s cumulative and want the previous month and you do this on rolling basis.EI in June you you install the May cumulative and in July you install June’s.Does anyone practice this with Automox? Because if you have you patch policy after Patch tuesday it will only pick up the latest cumulative.

Worklet: Install Forticlient VPN and provision gateway

Hi Guys, We use Fortigate Firewall/VPN Concentrators and needed an easy way to push out the newest client with all the gateway settings pre-applied. Shoutouts to @awhitman for helping point us in the right direction with a couple free professional hours. So basically what we do is run the installer, and then in order to actually modify all the settings we want, we need to throw some regkeys in the HKLM-Software hive. This will allow us to push the app to the end user and its prepopulated with the right URL/path/etc It’s worth noting, theres 2 versions of the forticlient VPN software, online and full. Online is readily available but if you want the full installer, you need to logon to forticare and download it behind a membership wall. Things to change: $pathtourl is your publically accessible vpn concentrator $gateway is what the end user will see for a friendly name. Start-Process -Wait -FilePath "FortiClientVPNSetup_6.4.1.1519_x64.exe" -ArgumentList "/S /v /qn /norestart" -passthru

Hi, I have gone through the documents and available APIs. But confused with the actual modelling. There are accounts, and user can be a part of account. Whether there can be users without associating with any accounts? There are groups, organizations, RBAC Roles. Whether all these can be assigned and revoked from a particular user or is it possible to manage at account level. I am confused with the entire organization structure and how access can be controlled in Automox. Could you please check and share some detail around it. I want to know how to manage users and accounts, and also wants to know how to manage the accesses. Thanks.

Can we run powershell script in Current User context

Hello Folks,We are looking to deploy ACS Client Solutions (Java based which resides in the Current User folder) to all machines across our Organization.  I’ve tested the script to work properly via Powershell directly on a test machine:Start-Process -FilePath “\\Server\Path\ACS.exe” -Arguments “/Q” “/File=\\server\path\config.zip” -waitBut when trying to run this script (with our server names) via Automox, it starts the worklet, downloads the scipt to C:\ProgramData\AMAgent folder within Exec…. But hangs and does not execute the command.  What we are guessing is, since Automox runs commands/scripts in elevated system admin powershell, it probably is erroring when trying to run our script.So we are asking if there is a method to run PS scripts via Automox in Current User/logged in user context?
