Automox fails to understand our needs. For the years using the product, we have consistently provided feedback and requested the ability to push all available OS updates in one monthly overnight maintenance window and restart as many times as necessary to complete the installations. We want users to have the option to defer the restart if they are actively working overnight, but otherwise, the install and restart should happen as fast as possible with minimal user interaction and with real-time status in the portal. With many discussions in forums with other CTOs in Financial Services, I’m confident we are not the only company to want this. I would be interested to know if this methodology would appeal to other Automox customers.

Why isn't the new system tray icon optional instead of required? Why doesn't the new agent optionally use the old deferral approach to proceed unless deferred? Why doesn't it recognize a Windows OS restart that the user initiated? Employees with a trading floor mentality DO NOT WANT TO UNDERSTAND the difference between restarting in the Automox System Tray and the Windows Start menu. Why is this so hard? Please let me know if I am misunderstanding the new agent limitations.
