I see there's a worklet in the catalog for making changes to HKEY_USERS. Safe to assume this can be modified to make changes to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ?

Using Automox policy to upgrade to Windows 11

I’ve found some informative threads on blocking the Windows 11 upgrade with Automox policy but I have devices I’d like to push Windows 11 to and I’ve been unable to use a policy or worklet for this.  I have not found a patch or required software method to push out the Win 11 upgrade and have had no success running the upgrade via a worklet. Is there any type of best practice for the Windows 11 upgrade?  It would greatly benefit our efficiency if I can use Automox for this.

With Covid we have more and more remote users and I’ve been having to rely on more and more remote tools and automation. Just curious if anyone has used ConnectWise and had any problems and/or did you use Automox to roll it out?

Best way to set Monthly Windows Updates by Severity

Hello, we are looking at moving away from SCCM and use Automox for our updates. What is best practice to configure a policy that will update severe and high updates once every 30 days? I have Install Optional and Recommended Windows Updates enabled, package targeting is Critical and High Device Targeting with Attribute = OS, Condition = In and Value = Windows. I do not have a schedule assigned as I need to test this manually first.  User Notifications are set as:Install Notifications are disabledReboot Notifications are enabled Enable deferrals, enable automatic deferrals enabled, with hourly deferrals set as 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours. Max deferrals is set as 3.

Operating System Native Reboot Integration

Hi Guys,I have previously mentioned this to support although I am not too sure if there is a procedure for requesting additional features for the Automox agent? thus thought it would be useful to post in the community to try and reach out the toe correct team\department.It would be really useful if the Automox agent was able to integrate with windows from a native OS reboot perspective. One thing I am seeing allot  is that users are postponing the reboot notifications generated by Automox and then restarting there device outside of Automox. Although patches are still being applied the Automox dashboard does not appear to be aware of this reboot and the agent continues to report  back to the dashboard that a reboot is required.If the reboot is initiated from the Automox reboot notification the dashboard updates as expected when the r the host reboots although it would be useful if there was some integration to reboots that are initiated outside of the Automox.

How to bulk add devices to groups

If this doesn’t belong in the “Labs” portion, I apologize in advance. I’m migrating devices from one Zone to new Zones.  I think I’ve got that process mostly down, but am now looking for the best way to use the API to read in a csv file with the new devices and join them to a new group in the new Zone. Do we have something like that, that I can use?

Install MSI using administrator privileges

Hey AM TeamWe had an MSI browser extension to install via Automox but it fails due to UAC.  When we created a required software policy to install the MSI file, it just fails and would not install.  Trying to install locally, we found that it requires UAC and local admin privileges.  Is there a way around this using Automox? From my understanding, Automox should be installing apps as local admin?

Server patching and immediate reboots...

Hello,We’re creating a bunch of server patching policies, and right now I’m struggling to find the assurance that a server will reboot immediately after Automox patches it.The policies are all geared towards user notifications.  Say for example we’re patching a bunch of DNS servers and domain controllers - no-one logs into these servers much at all, and when we’re patching at midnight, we most certainly have no requirement to notify a user.  We just want Automox to patch, and reboot.  Is this possible?Cheers,Mark.,

IBM i Access ACS software inquiry

Does Automox have a way to query the registry and find out version number and if a particular software is installed on a bunch of machines?  The problem is the program that i am trying to search to see if many PCs have does not have a program files entry.We have close to 2700+ end points in Automox and need to know if we can get a CSV report of a particular software installed on many machines.  Any help would be appreciated.

I need to copy Ookla Speedtest.exe CLI to System32 for multiple systems for ease of use.

I need to copy Ookla Speedtest.exe CLI to System32 for multiple systems, I setup the below Worklet script but it doesnt seem to work. Am I missing something to do with permissions when copying over files to the system32 folder which always requires Admin priveleges as we all know. Not sure how to get around this if it is the case. I have the speedtest.exe also uploaded to the Policy too. Any ideas will be much appreciated. Copy-Item speedtest.exe -Destination "c:\windows\system32\"

Last reboot time - Feature Request

Hi,I hope it’s ok to ask here for a feature request (or can it be that it exists and I didn’t find it yet?)I have currently a laptop (macos) which the AutoMox shows that it needs a reboot, the user claimed he did one, and I did check that he did through another system, but AutoMox doesn’t show in it when was the last reboot, It could be a good addon to see it. in the current situation I believe for some reason AutoMox didn’t refresh yet though I did initiate a scan, saw it happening few times with few laptops already but eventually it works ok.

Patch Except Policy is not forcing reboot after deferrals

We have our Patch Policy applied for the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Yesterday we all received the notification that we would need to either restart our computer or defer. Many deferred 8 hours and when 8 hours came up several of us deferred 4 hours and left our computers on. There is no indication that the 3rd deferment when through and of the 31 computers in the group, only two had the patch actually apply. One was successful, the second one failed due to an itunes update failure. I would like to know why the policy didn’t apply to the other 29 computers and why the computers didn’t restart after deferrment?

For Linux, how can I execute multiple worklets on the same server at the same time

Trying to execute multiple worklets at the same time from the same server.   The worklets run against different groups and ssh to the servers to run commands. Is there an option to allow that. When I try, it only runs one at a time.
