Hi all,

We would like to have a download time different than the patch time.

At this moment, we have a policy schedule at 00:00 and a automatic restart enabled with a deferral of 12h in order to reboot all critical systems during working hours if something happening. But if any patch installation succeed but generates any problem in the machine, it will stop working.

Is there any workound or idea of how to achieve what we want? To dowload around 00:00, patch around 11:00 and then reboot at 12:00?

Thank you,

David.

Hi @dhernandez

If I’m understanding correctly it sounds like you’re asking to be able to cache the updates prior to the installation. In that case we don’t have the ability to do that at this time.

Something you could test would using a Worklet to enforce the reboot at a specific time and disable that automatic restarts within your Policy. That way the download and install is separate from your reboot.

Are these OS updates you’re trying to do, if so which OS, or are they third-party software updates?

We have disable the automatic restart, but we do have the patch schedule at 00:00 am. We would like to install like all KBs in all servers at the same time, without depending on download times.
