In response to the recent bug in MS KBs causing BSOD when printing, I see they’ve added KBs to remediate the issue per: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-10-emergency-updates-released-to-fix-printing-crashes/

  • iKB5001567 for Win10 v2004/20H2]

  • iKB5001566 for Win10 v1909]

  • iKB5001568 for Win10 v1809 enterprise/education/LTSC 2019]

  • iKB5001565 for Win10 v1803 enterprise/education]

Curious when AMX adds out of band updates to the platform as I don’t see them in the system yet.

We ingest the feed of patches from Microsoft regularly, so pretty much as soon as it comes out it should be available. If there’s anything new that’s not showing yet just let me know I’ll have someone check the list above to make sure they’ve been pulled in.

Can you check on the availability of

2021-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems (KB5001566)

2021-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 2004/20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5001567)

2021-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB5001568)

2021-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB5001565)

I don’t see them listed yet for my devices.

It looks like Microsoft made these optional patches, so you’ll either need to turn on that setting on the patch policy, or use a worklet to install a specific KB, like this one:

Here’s the article that mentions that they’re optional:

Correction: even turning on optional updates won’t make the KBs show, unfortunately, so you’ll need to force them through using a worklet. Fortunately @ChrisD just shared a worklet to do just that:
