Automox New Tray Icon - Adjust Text

Hey Ottobots! 

We are pleased to say that the new tray icon and notifications have started appearing for our users on Automox, however we note that this doesn’t appear to have the text defined in our policy. 

 

Does anybody know if: 

  1. We can adjust the logo and the “Automox” text to be company-branded? 
  2. We are able to adjust the text in the notification window? We would like to tell our staff WHAT is being updated, for example. 
  3. In the policies, we are currently still seeing deferral, rather than “deadline” which was announced. Does anyone know where we configure the deadline please?

Regarding your questions about customizing the Automox Tray:

  • Company Branding (Logo and "Automox" text): Unfortunately, co-branding, such as displaying your company logo or altering the "Automox" text, is not currently a supported feature.
  • Custom Notification Text: The Automox Tray does not currently support custom notification text from IT administrators. Therefore, any custom messaging configured in existing policies will not appear in the tray notifications.
  • Deferral vs. Deadline: The Automox Tray operates on a deadline-based system. The "deferral" settings are used to calculate the final install or restart deadline, but they are not visible to users in the tray. Therefore, the settings "Enable Automatic Deferrals" and "Notification Duration" can be ignored within the context of the tray notifications, as they do not affect the user facing notifications. The tray will only display the deadline based information.

    Do you know if Company Branding and Custom notification text is something that is on the roadmap at all please? I might be making it up, but I’m sure I heard mention of both somewhere!
