I have successfully used this worklet and would like to implement it in my environment. However, I want to give my users more than one minute to close their applications and files before being forced to restart. I couldn't find any part of the script that allows me to make this adjustment.

The Windows - Configuration - Windows 11 Feature Update Worklet is not designed to restart a device when the Remediation code completes. Once the upgrade is applied successfully, the user will receive a Microsoft prompt with a countdown before a restart happens. If you have Restarts enabled on the Worklet, I would recommended disabling this.

 

Alternatively, you can leverage the Windows - Configuration - Set Registry Keys for Latest Windows 11 Feature Upgrades Worklet to set device Registry keys to target Windows 11 24H2, followed by the Windows Feature Upgrade Policy to upgrade your compatible devices via Patch Policy. I recommend reading through the Worklet description before deployment.

​@KyleG-Automox we are thinking of using this worklet to update our devices to Windows 11. I just watched an expert insights demo that was very helpful.  The way we want to want to use this worklet (and the way it looked in the video) was that we’d tell batches of users to leave their PCs on overnight and then set the worklet to run at let’s say 6pm.  Once the install completes, it looks like the device restarts on its own.

Am I correct here in my thinking that we could use the Feature Update worklet this way?
