I’ve been trying to figure out how to make a worklet to uninstall adobe apps from my endpoints. The pre-made worklet for removing apps by name seems to only be able to remove Adobe Acrobat if it’s installed by itself. However, if it was installed by Adobe Creative Cloud, or other apps are there along with CC, the worklet gives an error that it timed out. Is there some way to have a worklet to be able to uninstall all of Adobe’s software?

Hi Caldwella,

This is going to be a little more complex than using our Generic Software Removal Worklet template in some cases from what I can discern.  Working with Support, it does look like the policy actually did function on a few devices, are you able to validate that? (Insights>Reports>Policy Results Report)

Adobe has some guidance on their website.
https://helpx.adobe.com/in/enterprise/using/uninstall-creative-cloud-products.html

On the link adobe does also warn:
If you install Adobe's UWP apps (such as Fresco, Fuse, and Aero) locally via the Creative Cloud desktop, you cannot use the Adobe uninstall tool to uninstall the app. You'll need to use the Creative Cloud Desktop app or the method provided by the specific operating system.

It all depends on what the apps are, and then working based off of Adobes documentation. I would expect the uninstall tool to be effective. AI might be able to get a good foundation in place regarding the tool, if not a complete functional script, but we would need to rely on the approach according to the documentation.

Thanks for pointing me towards the right direction. It looks like it worked on computers that only had Acrobat installed by itself, but didn’t work on those that had other apps installed with Creative Cloud. I tried using the Adobe Uninstall app and it looks like it was able to silently remove all adobe apps on our test systems.
