Slack retired its Windows MSI installers for enterprise deployment and moved Windows deployment to MSIX. Automox has added native detection and patching support for the Slack MSIX package under the standard Slack title. No policy reconfiguration is required for devices already using MSIX.
Automox will not automatically convert existing Slack MSI installations to MSIX. Existing MSI installs will remain untouched until you choose to migrate them. To help with that transition, Automox is providing a base Worklet named Windows - Software Lifecycle - Migrate Slack to MSIX. This Worklet is available to all Automox customers, including customers who do not subscribe to the Worklet Catalog.
