Hey Friends,

Jon Levenson here. I’m on the Content & Community Team at Automox. It’s been a couple weeks since we introduced Otto AI and, frankly, I’m curious: What questions do you have about Otto AI? Have you used it yet? What would you still like to know?

Hello Jon,

I’m one of the Endpoint Specialists at FDLIC and we’ve been using Automox for the past two years to help manage software installs and patch management on our end-user and infrastructure devices, throughout our organization.

I haven’t had the chance to use the Otto AI yet as I haven’t had to design any new worklets in quite some time, but it does seem very helpful. I look forward to being able to utilize this tool the next time I go to design a worklet as it will save me some time from having to refresh myself on scripting languages and syntaxes.

One question I have is do you guys have any plans to expand the use of the Otto AI to any other sections of the Automox console?

Jon, I’ve not yet had the need to create a new script, but have some ideas that I want to pursue.

I played with it a little and asked it to recreate something I’ve already done.  It was spot on once I told it the script was for windows.

If I selected Windows for the Operating System above, not sure why it created me a Linux script. It should generate the script based upon the OS Selection in my opinion.

I’ll reach out if I have any other questions or helpful feedback.

Hi,

I’ve used Otto AI a few times to create some worklets. It has definitely been useful, I find that the accuracy of it writing a fully functioning PowerShell script on it’s first attempt to be around 80%. Some times you’ll have to ask it again to write something that works a little better with some tweaks.

It would be nice if it would create the evaluation code and remediation code all at once instead of having to ask it twice.

Overall it’s been a good system to use.

Hi @ChaseFDLIC!

We look forward to hearing your thoughts as you dive into Worklets again and have the chance to give Otto AI a try!

Otto AI, named after Automox’s Agent of Action, will be our umbrella term for future AI capabilities within the Automox console. The engineering team is actively working on new enhancements and capabilities that will leverage AI and we will share these with our users as they become available.

Please stay tuned for more details later this year!

Hi @JJakubowski!

Great idea for your first stroll with the feature to create a script you’d already written. And we are glad to hear it was spot on!

Thank you for your feedback on the selection of the OS should inherently drive the script language. Currently, as you’ve experienced, it is helpful to include the OS in your chat description. We’ll share this valuable feedback with our engineering team for future releases.

And, please continue to reach out! Your hand-on experience and feedback is invaluable.

Hi @saman.keyhan

That is great to hear of your experience to date. Your statement regarding 80% accuracy sounds about right due inherent generative AI technology’s limitations with Otto AI as an assistant rather than a complete replacement of script development. Asking Otto AI again, as you did, would have been our recommendation too to refine your script as you review and test.

Thank you for your recommendation to address both the evaluation code and remediation code simultaneously. We will share your feedback with our engineering and product teams.

Please continue to share your feedback as this is invaluable as we fine-tune the feature and introduce more in the future.
