We are having issues with users that have applications removed like, firefox or chrome, and continuously showing “Your Computer is preparing to install updates” due to a policy to update both Chrome and Firefox, and it fails for those users and never shows that their computer is Up To Date (this is happening for other applications as well but Firefox/Chrome seems to be the most prevalent offenders)  which is causing confusion with the end users and countless unnecessary calls to our helpdesk.

I am having a similar issue and haven’t opened a ticket yet, but was planning on it today when it happened to me.  We are getting “Your Computer is preparing to install updates” on PCs where there is no policy that would push this.  It is happening on my PC actually and I don’t have any active policies that would give me this notification.

@SteveM @abeidson Definitely open a support ticket with our team so we can take a closer look! Please and thank you

I have opened a ticket with support, but will update here with the resolution.

For those having this same issue. Support is telling me it is a known issue.

The issue your devices are experiencing was recently identified and is being worked on by our engineering team.

In the interim, you can use the following command on those devices to clear the stuck notifications.
amagent notifications remove --all

@abeidson thanks for this.  I’ll let you know what comes out of my support ticket as well in case it’s a bit of a different issue.

@abeidson did you run the command to clear the stuck notifications?  If so, how did you run it?
