What's your go-to comfort food?

Nothing makes me happier than eating a giant bowl of mac and cheese or Chinese takeout at the end of a long day. Most people think of comfort food as something to eat while you’re sad, but I want to be comfortable when I’m happy too! So, comfort food is a staple around our house.

Personally, a big bowl of Mapo Tofu from our local Chinese restaurant is my ideal comfort food. Spicy, warm, and super filling, it’s the perfect way to relax on a cold night indoors. Plus, I didn’t have to cook, so no dishes to do!

It’s called muruku. Really delectable when they have enough butter in them!

I’d never heard of that before so I had to google it. For anyone else in my boat, here’s a recipe I found online:

Since it doesn’t traditionally use wheat flour this looks like something I could eat (I have Celiac).

Right now it’s döner. Of course it’s a versatile food. It fills in as comfort food, a light snack, breakfast, a light snack, midnight craving, alcohol sop, elevenses, power bar, on-the-go lunch, friendly shoulder to cry on, a light snack, and many more.
